PokerStars Marketing Codes

Many players seem to be getting confused as to what the difference is between a marketing code for PokerStars and a Poker Stars bonus code.  I have gotten many questions inquiring about Pokerstars.com and whether these 2 poker codes are the same.  There is a difference between a marketing code and a bonus code, and this post in attempt to better explain both pokerstars.com codes.

The photo above is for the marketing code for PokerStars.  This screen will come up when new players are creating an account at PokerStars.  Players simply enter the PokerStars marketing code PAWSUB403 just like in the diagram. 

After filling in the sign up form, players will begin the process of making their first real money deposit to Pokerstars.com so that they can play in the real money games.  When players are making a deposit, a screen will come up where they can enter a bonus code.  The bonus code to enter here is First2008.
